Question on subjective assessment

2nd year student here, about to undertake an MSK outpatients placement.

Just wondering why, when doing a subjective Ax, we ask about the presence of certain conditions such as thyroid problems, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, etc.

Are they just more potential red flag questions, like unexplained weight loss?

Is it that their answers may affect how we conduct the objective Ax?

Does our treatment/exercise prescription change with their answers?

Or would answering yes to any of these questions mean that we would refer them to a specialist physio?

Any help would be great and tips on being an MSK physio would also be appreciated!
